The government should remove the anomaly and help the entire province
TURBAT: Natural gas was discovered in Sui, a tehsil of Dera Bugti in Balochistan, in 1952. Ironically barring five or six districts of Balochistan, other districts still do not have access to gas, nor is there any system that would connect them to the supply line. Among others, even the residents of Sui (the place of discovery of gas) use firewood as fuel. For this people chop trees across the province. In many remote areas, people chop trees and sell firewood to make a living. The felling of trees is increasing deforestation. As a result people are also falling prey to diseases caused by pollution and smoke produced by burning wood. I urge the government to remove the anomaly and help provide natural gas to the entire province.
