Sasta bazaars offer discount on 19 food itmes

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Division Commissioner Joudat Ayaz on Tuesday said that the administration was making all out efforts to provide relief to the citizens during the holy month of Ramazan and the fair price shops set up at Ramazan Sasta Bazaars were offering special discount on 19 food items.

He said, no compromise would be made on the quality of food items and the prices of daily use items were being monitored.

16 Discount Bazaars planned

Talking to the media during his visit to Shamsabad Ramazan Bazaar he said, price magistrates had been directed to conduct raids at Ramazan Bazaars and markets to take action in accordance with the law against profiteers and hoarders.

He informed that the administration was also checking quality and prices of milk and yogurt.

The Fair Price Shops set up at Ramazan Bazaars by the Agriculture Department was trying to ensure provision of subsidy on 19 food items.
