ICC World Cup

Cricket World Cup is one of the largest cricket tournaments and has an audience all over the world

KARACHI: The Cricket World Cup is one of the largest cricket tournaments and has an audience all over the world. England will host it from May 30th to July 14t this year.

Australia will be the defending champions and England, Pakistan, India, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan will be playing for the Cup. We are eager to see how Afghanistan play in the tournament.

After the announcement of Pakistan’s 15-member World Cup squad, the omission of seasoned left armed pacer Muhammad Amir has been the biggest talking point. Usman Shinwari was also sidelined for a young 18-year-old quick bowler, Muhammad Hasnain. Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali and Junaid Khan are the selected pacers. We have three openers, Abid Ali, Imamul Haq and Fakher Zaman. Mohammad Rizwan is playing in place of Sarfaraz Ahmed. The wicketkeepers remain unchanged. Pakistan won the Cup in 1992, and we are rooting for our team to win it this year as well.
