Former Balochistab CM calls central, provincial govts selected
QUETTA:
Former Balochistan chief minister and the National Party President Dr Malik Baloch has said Prime Minister Imran Khan pledged 10 million jobs but in the last nine months of his government, four million people have got jobless in the country.
“The Balochistan and federal governments are selected governments. These governments have no vision for the country,” Dr Baloch said on Wednesday while addressing a ceremony to mark the International Labour Day in Lasbela district.
“Last general elections were rigged. Undemocratic and selected representatives have been allowed to rule the country and Balochistan. The flawed policies of the Pakistn Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has jammed the country’s economy which putting more burden of inflation on poor masses,” he added.
The former CM said he since beginning of his political career has always raised voice for labourers. During my tenure as the CM, we were about to bring new reforms in labour laws but our government was ousted. However, we would defend labours’ rights at every forum.”
Sharing views on Balochistan’s problems, he said talks are the only solution to resolve provincial issues. “During our government, we began talks with disgruntled Baloch leadership. Instead of Sardar Akhtar Mengal or I, talks should be initiated with Brahumdagh Bugti and Hyrbyair Marri.”
