Reduced to a ‘love shack’ which some greedy souls rent out to couples
KARACHI: The Mazar-e-Quaid is the resting place of the Father of the Nation. As any gravesite, the tomb must be respected. Up until a few years ago, people would pay their respects by taking their shoes off before entering the tomb, conduct themselves in a serious manner and recite Fatiha for the deceased. Unfortunately, this has changed now and the place has become more of a ‘love shack’ which some greedy souls rent out to couples who are deprived of freedom, for a few thousand rupees. It is disgusting to see the callous attitude towards the dead, especially the founder of the country.
