Speaking to media in Karachi on Wednesday, Amirul Ibad said Israrul Ibad, Waqarul Ibad and Ishratul Ibad, who had served as the Sindh governor from 2002 to 2016, intimidated him over the issue of a plot situated in the port city's Federal B area Block 14.
Amir maintained that a day earlier Joharabad SHO Athar Malik at the behest of his brothers attempted to kidnap him from the area of Sharea Faisal.
“I am facing death threats and I demand senior police officials to take notice of the incident,” he added.
The brother of ex-governor also vowed to register a case against the SHO for the kidnapping bid.
He also made a startling allegation that a cache of weapons could be hidden beneath the plot, for this reason, Amir claimed, his brothers did not want the matter to be resolved which is already in the court.
Following "Karachi Operation", initiated in 2013, law enforcement agencies recovered huge cache of weapons and ammunition from a number of places allegedly owned by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London.
Earlier in 2015, Dr Shehla Amir, the wife of Amirul Ibad, had approached police to register a case against a senior party leader, Rauf Siddiqui and his allies, seeking protection in the wake of death threats to her and her family.
