Court sends quack on judicial remand in Saba’s case

The East judicial magistrate heard the case in the Karachi city court

KARACHI: A local court sent on Tuesday a quack to jail on judicial remand in the case pertaining to the death of a minor girl, Saba Noor, who was administered a wrong injection at a clinic in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

The East judicial magistrate heard the case in the Karachi city court. The deceased's mother, Farzana Zafar, said that the family of the accused, Adnan, was pressurising them to reach a settlement. The police are giving VIP protocol to the accused, she added.

The accused said that the fake degree was provided to him by another doctor, Dr Waheed, and asked why the police were not arresting him. He would also be a fake doctor, he said.

The court sent the quack doctor to jail on judicial remand till May 11 and ordered the investigation officer to submit the case challan at the next hearing.
