People are really disappointed with GoT 'Battle of Winterfell'

Fans called out makers on how the biggest shooting sequence in the history of television fell short

When Game of Thrones’ The Long Night wrapped up, ending the largest battle in the history of the series, fans were shocked that the Battle of Winterfell was over, that it had concluded with almost every titular character alive and that the Army of the Dead was ultimately so easy to destroy.

But more so, millions of followers were left disappointed, expressing dismay over how the biggest shooting sequence in the history of television fell short, failing to live up to another battle from the series - season 5's Battle of the Bastards.

anyone else disappointed by the few number of characters that died during the battle of winterfell? so many people surviving was unrealistic i wanted it to have some impact on us

In conclusion, loved the epic cinematic aspect of the Battle of Winterfell. However, I’m disappointed in the story telling of the night king. So many prophecies and stories we could have seen play out, but nope he was just a one note villain killed just like that. #gameofthrones

Unpopular opinion (?)

In short, I am very disappointed with Battle of Winterfell.

Maybe the creators thought that going into a battle with invincible adversaries is devastating, but turned out very boring, IMHO. I mean, an hour of endless fight then a climax in seconds? Meh.
