‘Kalam-e-Iqbal’ competitions held at AIOU

The competitions include declamation contests, songs and painting competitions

ISLAMABAD: The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) on Monday held a number of different competitions between students of local colleges and universities on ‘Kalam-e-Iqbal’.

The competitions include declamation contests, songs and painting competitions. The competitions had been arranged by the Rawalpindi region to observe the 81st death anniversary of Dr Allama Mohammad Iqbal.

AIOU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Ziaul Qayyum assured that the university will continue to provide a platform to students to hold discussions and debates on the life and work of Dr Iqbal and other national heroes.

He congratulated the winners of the competitions and hoped that they will utilise their talents and energy for the betterment of the country.

The winners were given trophies and certificates.
