Gymkhana elects its office-bearers

The Javed Junejo Panel romped to victory in the election of Hyderabad Gymkhana, according to the results announced on Monday. Polling was held on Sunday to elect three office bearers and 11 members of the managing committee. The panel swept 12 out of the 14 seats including all three of the office bearers. The progressive panel of Haji Nisar Memon managed to bag only two seats of the committee while the visionary panel of Dr Pir Manzoor Ali encountered a complete rout. Javed Junejo Panel’s Saleem Qureshi has been elected honorary president with 1,433 votes, Sajid Ali Bhutto honorary secretary with 1,573 votes and Dr Shams Shaikh Honorary Treasurer with1,380 votes.
