K-P police arrest man for assaulting boy

At least 29 held for violating rent law

SWABI: Police have arrested a man for allegedly assaulting a boy and keeping him in forced confinement. According to the Parmoli police station, a 15-year-old youth filed a complaint that a man identified as Ajab Khan had raped him.

The victim stated in the report that he was returning home to Mardan from Rawalpindi after meeting his uncle when he met Ajab Khan on Swabi bus stand.

The boy said that Ajab offered him zakat money and took him to a nearby hotel. Once inside the room, the man pulled out a pistol and holding the victim hostage assaulted him multiple times. However, the said he managed to escape and reach the police station.

Subsequently, on the victim’s complaint, Parmoli police arrested the accused. Police have sent evidence for a medical report.

SHO Liaquat Ali Shah told The Express Tribune, that the accused has been nominated in section 342, 506, 53CPA, while added that the accused was wanted in various cases of sexual assaults in the area.

Meanwhile, during search and strike operation in the remits of various police stations, Peshawar police arrested three proclaimed offenders, 41 people with criminal records, and 29 people for violating Tenant Act. Separately, two people were deprived of Rs20,000 cash and cell phones by unidentified gunmen in Gulbhar area. Police have registered cases in various incidents and started investigations.
