Brawl initiated due to petty conflict over a motorcycle, say police officials

At least six people were killed and several others injured in an armed clash between two tribes in Punjab’s Rajanpur district on Saturday.

According to police, the brawl initiated due to a petty conflict over a motorcycle, Express News reported.

The two sides exchanged harsh words at first, but the situation quickly turned into a physical fight and members of the two sides started throwing kicks and punches at each other before resorting to opening fire in Rojhan Katch tehsil, killing two people on the spot while injuring seven others.

Police launch another operation in Katcha area

The injured and bodies were taken to the district headquarter hospital, where four people succumbed their wounds, raising the death toll to six.

The exchange of fire continued till the filing of this report as more policemen were called in to control the situation.
