Amna Ilyas' 'Ready Steady No' is an erratic love story
Trailer follows the many hurdles a couple goes through in trying to get married against their parents' will

Ready Steady No revolves around a young, middle-class couple who are desperate to take the plunge. However, the two sets of parents involved aren’t in agreement. The trailer takes us on a rollercoaster ride, showing how the two lovebirds come across various hurdles and mix-ups while they try and make their nikkah happen. The clip also includes a scene of the parents chasing the couple through the streets.
PHOTO: SCREENGRABHelmed by first-time director Hisham Bin Munawwar, Ready Steady No’s music has been composed by renowned flute player Baqir Abbas and his brother Hasan Badsham. Munawwar is a film graduate and has earlier assisted Shoaib Mansoor on his 2011 magnum opus Bol.
The upcoming film stars Faisal Saif as the male lead, who is also a debutant. Alongside Saif and Ilyas star Salman Shahid, Ismail Tara, Zain Afzal, Nargis Rasheed and Marhoom Ahmed Bilal.
PHOTO: FILEReady Steady No is slated to release on July 19, 2019. But before that, Ilyas will grace the silver screens in another feature film Baaji – an in-depth drama focusing on the dark side of the showbiz industry. It also stars Meera and Osman Khalid Butt in the lead roles.
