Late Wednesday night, Mola Baksh, a resident of Haji Ibrahim Goth in UC 2, shot his mother, Sher Bano, and wife, Anisa, over a domestic dispute. Both sustained bullet injuries to their heads. The wife died on the spot while the mother was severely injured.
Relatives and neighbours took the victims to a private hospital on Stadium Road where Bano succumbed to her injuries and died.
After the post-mortem of the two women had been conducted, JPMC Medico-Legal Officer (MLO) Dr Zakia said that the women were shot one bullet each in the heads.
Gadap Police Station SHO Shaoor Bangash claims that a 9mm pistol along with 29 bullets was seized from the accused during the arrest.
The SHO further said that the accused ran a business and when he faced losses, he started taking loans from his friends and relatives. He was unable to repay the loans he had taken and when the people demanded their money back, he got worried and started using drugs. The SHO said that at the time of the incident, Bakhsh was intoxicated.
