Platforms: Urdu social networking suggested

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Chairman Dr Mohammed Yaseen has called for development of local language social networking platforms, search engines and entertainment platforms on the basis of popular internet usage trends in Pakistan. He was speaking at a conference organised by PK Registry PKNIC in collaboration with online Urdu literature website U4U.COM on “Local language content stimulus” in Lahore, said a press release. “We have some very good examples of China, Japan and South Korea with respect to availability of local language content and applications on Internet.”
