KTH hosts pelvic fracture workshop

The course was aimed at providing insight into management of fracture of pelvic and acetabulum fracture

PESHAWAR: Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH) Department of Orthopaedics and Trauma organised two-day 16th Pelvic and Acetabulum Fracture Workshops at Khyber Medical College Peshawar. The department of orthopaedic MTI Khyber Teaching Hospital has a long and rich history of conducting academics activities which facilitate budding orthopaedic surgeon throughout the country, in treating complex injuries and diseases.

The course director was Acting Medical Director Associate Professor Dr Muhammad Shoaib Khan and course coordinator was Dr Wali Muhammad of LRH.

SIUT workshop wraps up with successful robotic surgery


The course was aimed at providing insight into the principles of management of fracture of pelvic and acetabulum fracture to young orthopaedic surgeon with interest in pelvic surgery. This was accomplished using interactive lectures sessions and bone workshops.

Participants were encouraged to interact with faculty members to enhance their understanding and clarify their concepts. It was well attended workshop with more than 60 participants from all over K-P and Punjab.

The course organisers were Dr Afrasiyab Khan and Dr Abid Ali along with Trainee Medical Officers Dr Yaseen, Dr Jawad Mifti, and Dr Mehatbullah.
