LAHORE: Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar is not resigning from his post as Prime Minister Imran Khan is standing by his side.

Addressing a press conference here at Pakistan Railways headquarters, Rashid said that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is not expected to take oath as Punjab Assembly member and no change is in offing in Punjab government in near future.
“I do not see Nisar even taking oath as a member of Punjab Assembly, so there is no question of him becoming the province’s chief minister,” he maintained.

The railways minister noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan was the second name of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) and added that the premier would not spare any looter or corrupt in the country.
"Imran Khan will not allow any corrupt to prevail," he said.
Rashid declared former finance minister Asad Umar a great man and termed the newly appointed Adviser to PM on Finance Hafeez Sheikh an asset for the country.

Replying to a question, he said that Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif were the names of two different narratives whereas Shehbaz was playing on both sides of the wicket.
To another question about the politics of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Rashid believed that Asif Ali Zardari was using his son Bilawal to protect his looted money.

"Politics of Asif Zardari is based on a fake testament," he observed.
The minister appealed to Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa to release those account holders who were allegedly involved in transferring money to the accounts of Sharifs and Zardari as the real culprits were enjoying freedom on bail.

The minister expected Pakistan and China to sign an agreement on the design and feasibility of upgradation of Main Line-1 during the PM Khan’s visit to Beijing on April 25.

He said that work on Nullah Lai project was in progress and would be completed in few months.
Rashid informed that date for inauguration of Sir Syed Express would be set on the availability of the premier and it would be inaugurated in Rawalpindi or Karachi.
"The train will comprise economy, air-conditioned and AC Sleeper compartments," he added.

He said that complimentary meals would be provided not only to the passengers travelling in AC class but to economy class passengers as well.
"The train will run between Karachi and Rawalpindi via Faisalabad," he disclosed.
