KHANGARH: A boat bridge has been flooded as the River Chenab is currently in high tide. According to local residents in Shujabad and Khangarh, the ground link between the two tehsils has been disrupted and excessive erosion poses the threat that the main dyke could break. Due to increasing levels of water in the River Chenab, soil erosion is on the rise and areas in Meeranpur Dhool and Sulemanpura are being inundated. Local authorities have begun clearing villages near the boat bridge between Shujaabad and Khangarh in this regard.
