Korean envoy appriciates speech contest at NUML

The 13th Korean language speech contest was held at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) on Tuesday. Korean Ambassador Kwak Sung-kyu was the Chief Guest of the ceremony while NUML Rector Major (Retd) General Ziauddin Najam, NUML Direct General Brig Muhammad Ibrahim attended the ceremony. Moreover Korean Language Department Head Dr Atif Faraz, King Sejong Institute Islamabad director and representatives of Korean companies, faculty members and large number of students were also participants in the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion the Korean ambassador after listening to all the speeches by the participants said that students spoke Korean very well and lauded their skill and efforts. He added that the Korean Department is celebrating its 13th anniversary. The past 13 years have been a great success as far as promotion of Korean Language in Pakistan is concerned, he said. The ambassador said that the Korean Embassy and NUML have great cooperative relations with each other and NUML is playing a key role in promoting Korean Language and culture in Pakistan.
