PM aide assures Chinese investors of support

ISLAMABAD: The government will facilitate Chinese investors by providing them with all possible support to invest in Pakistan, said Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.

During a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing on Monday, he pointed out that Pakistan’s foreign investment environment was conducive and urged Chinese businessmen to benefit from it by investing in various sectors.

Both sides discussed matters pertaining to bilateral interest and underscored the need for enhanced collaboration in areas of mutual benefit.

“Pakistan highly values its ties with China who is a sincere friend and has always supported Pakistan in difficult times,” added the adviser while appreciating China’s role in socio-economic development of Pakistan.

Appreciating the steps taken by the government for revival of the economy, the ambassador notified that Chinese investors were keen to invest in Pakistan and their confidence over policies and leadership of Pakistan was expanding each day.

He reiterated his government’s resolve to continue its support for early execution of various projects under the CPEC. The ambassador further congratulated Shaikh on assuming the portfolio of finance adviser.
