ISLAMABAD: Some of the best classical singers mesmerised the diverse audience on Saturday night at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). The classical musical night is a part of National Music Festival a seven day event being organised at PNCA. Performers at the occasion included renowned singers including Ustad Mubarik Ali Khan, Ustad Badrur-Zaman, Sultan Fateh Ali Khan, Rustam Fateh Ali Khan, Meena Syed, Shujat Ali Khan, Wali Fateh Ali. Sitar player Nafees Ahmed, tabla player Muhammad Ajmal began the night with their instrumental performances. Speaking on the occasion the PNCA Director General Syed Jamal Shah said that the survival of classical music is actually the growth of every form of music. Nevertheless more efforts are required to promote music, musicians and singers.
