South Korea suggests setting up a multi-discipline institute in the country

South Korea on Thursday suggested setting up a multi-discipline institute in the country, subject to permissions from the government.

This was disclosed by South Korean Ambassador Kwak Sung-Kyu, who called on the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Chairman Dr Tariq Banuri at the Commission Secretariat on Thursday.

The ambassador said that as many as 1,650 Pakistani students are currently studying in different Korean higher education institutions.

The ambassador highlighted ongoing collaborative endeavours amongst Pakistani and Korean higher education institutions.

He informed Dr Banuri that Pakistan Global Institute is being established wherein two disciplines, Information Technology and Business Administration will be initiated after receiving the Pakistani government’s formal approval.
