KARACHI: Battle of the Bands is launching its fourth season soon, albeit with some changes. The hosts of season two and three - Ahmed Butt and Ayesha Omar - will be replaced by VJs-turned-actors Muhammad Ali Safina and Hina Altaf, stated a press release.

The latter has been in the industry for many years now as she started acting as a child. She has been a video jockey, commercial model, compere and TV show host. However, what gave her national fame was her performances in plays like Ek Thi Misaal.

Safina is famous for his comedy acting and has hosted many shows before too. Before starting his career as an RJ in Pakistan, Safina was a DJ for a radio show in Scotland.

Speaking of the forthcoming season, Safina stated, “It is a great honour for me to have been given the privilege to host this show. It’s going to be a phenomenal one as all the bands are highly talented.”

When asked what he thinks about the bands, Safina said, “I have always been a fan of Battle of the Bands and I am extremely excited to be here."
