QUETTA: At least four people, including a child, were killed in two separate incidents of hand grenade and firing attacks in Panjgur on Wednesday.

The incident of firing took place in the Washbood area of Panjgur district, where unknown persons riding on motorbike opened fire, killing two people. They were identified as Abdul Malik and Nasir.

The district police along with rescue workers shifted the bodies to the DHQ Hospital for medico-legal formalities, after which they were handed over to the heirs for burial.

“We are yet to ascertain the motives behind the murders. An FIR (First Information Report) has been registered and investigation is under way,” the district police chief said.

Meanwhile, one man was gunned down due to personal enmity in the Tasb area of Panjgur. Police said that Hafeezullah was killed by a relative who then fled the scene.

In a separate incident on the outskirts of Panjgur, a child shepherd was killed when a hand grenade he was playing with exploded. According to the Levies force, the shepherd child found the hand grenade in the field and was playing with it when it exploded, killing him on the spot.
