Local star Mehwish Hayat has finally broken her silence regarding marriage. While she didn't quite tell all, the Punjab Nahi Jaungi star revealed the few things she is looking for in a life partner, reported Express News.

For starters, her potential husband should have no objections to her being independent. "I am married to my work because there is a lot that I want to do and achieve," stated Mehwish. She added, "I am self-sufficient and can financially support myself so I need that kind of freedom.” The Load Wedding actor went on to share that she would like to marry someone with distinctive characteristics.

Speaking of her dream project, Mehwish shared that she would like to star in an action film, playing a superhero. “Hollywood has so many female superheroes, so I think we should have at least one,” she said.

To suggest that I slept my way to this award is an abhorrent slur: Mehwish Hayat

Mehwish is currently gearing up for her upcoming film Chhalawa opposite Azfar Rehman. Zara Noor Abbas, Asad Siddiqui, Ashir Wajahat, Mahmood Aslam and Adnan Shah Tipu also feature in the rom-com alongside Mehwish. The film, which is directed, written and produced by Wajahat Rauf will hit cinemas this Eidul Fitr.

Pekhawar Khan | 4 years ago | Reply Absolutely Mehwish, I have no issues with your independence. Neither I am worried about the Medal nor the previous marriage with the work. I am very liberal in a Pakistani diaspora, as long you can live with a beer belly. Hmm what else... and we will watch your movies together, promise. Pretty much a total package deal. What say you? :p
