The authorities should do the needful without any delay
KARACHI: I would like to draw the attention of the authorities towards the poor condition of roads in Lyari Town, Karachi. Most roads are in a terrible condition and need to be repaired urgently. Potholes in roads are a major cause of concern. They slow down the traffic and also cause accidents. As a result, commuters are often stuck for long in traffic jams during peak hours. Moreover, dirty water from overflowing gutters fills these potholes. Pools of stagnant water are formed and these provide a good breeding ground for mosquitoes. Residents have informed the municipal authorities of these problems many times; but all their pleas have so far fallen on deaf ears. The authorities should do the needful without any further loss of time.
