Twitter hits gold as ‘Student of the Year 2’ trailer releases

Karan's new batch of 'students' look perfect with six-pack abs,but looks like he's making fun of the education system

Twitter has been on a rampage ever since the trailer of Karan Johar's Student Of The Year 2 - starring Tiger Shroff and glamourous debutantes Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday - dropped yesterday.

From Shroff's aerial action stunts to the two young beauties fighting for love, the three-minute-long clip included everything one would expect from a film based on a high-octane school competition - except studying. And of course, that didn't go unnoticed by the fans.

While Johar's new batch of 'students' looks more than perfect with their six-pack abs, exquisite dance sequences, mind-boggling stunts and a swanky millennial wardrobe, a section of social media are accusing Student Of The Year 2 of making fun of the Indian education system.

Twitterati has been taking every opportunity to take a dig at the actors, as well as the makers alike. Here's all they had to say:

"Student Of The Year 2 trailer is really promising. I just promised myself to never watch it," another one joked.

"I can’t believe that Will Smith wanted to be in a Bollywood film and they decided to add him into Student of the Year 2 of all of them," shared another.

"Me watching Student of the Year 2 trailer and everyone looks all fresh and chill like, 'Bro, why aren't y'all sleep derived and constantly crying about exams, attendance and dozens of projects like the rest of us?.' And HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF BAGPACKS?" said a user.

"Student of the Year 2 trailer is so fake. Not even close to college and uni life. College students are stressed and exhausted with exams and these people are so happy. No one is this happy in UNI. We make each other laugh in situations. I'm so offended...excuse my rant," a user remarked.

Directed by Punit Malhotra, Student of the Year 2 is the sequel of 2012's Student of the Year, which marked the film debut of Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. It is set to hit theatres on May 10.
