Harsh summers

Letter April 13, 2019
As citizens, we can play our part by keeping water outside in clay vessels for the stray animals and birds

ISLAMABAD: Climate change has caused drastic changes in weather patterns across the world. Our country has suffered from the worst summer temperatures in the past few years, and this year is expected to be the hottest since 2015.

Even though it is only April, there are numerous animals and birds that are bearing the brunt of the heat, and can be seen suffering from dehydration.

As citizens, we can play our part by keeping water outside in clay vessels for the stray animals and birds. If every household does this on a regular basis, we will be able to ease the suffering of these animals in this heat.
