Islam preaches peace, love and harmony: Imam-e-Kaaba

Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Dr Abdullah Awad al Juhany said that Islam preaches peace, love and harmony.
The grand Imam, who arrived in Islamabad on Thursday on a 5-day visit, made the remarks during the Friday sermon at Faisal Mosque in the federal capital, Radio Pakistan reported.
Dr Abdullah also said that Islam stands for brotherhood and it lays great emphasis on the rights of the people.
A large number of people thronged the iconic Islamabad mosque to offer Friday prayer behind the Imam-e-Kaaba.
On the occasion, special prayers were offered for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan and the entire Muslim Ummah.

The Makkah’s Grand Imam also addressed the “Youth and Contemporary Challenges” seminar at the International Islamic University’s Faisal Mosque campus after the leading the Friday prayer, Arab News reported.
The conference aims at devising a mechanism for promotion of inter-sect harmony and interfaith dialogue.
Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, the chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council which is organising the conference, also met the grand Imam.
The visiting imam will also meet Prime Minister Imran Khan, President Dr Arif Alvi and army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa during his visit.
