Huawei to unveil its first car at Shanghai Auto Show 2019: reports

The car is to feature in-vehicle communication, support 5G wireless network and various cloud functions

Amid a US-China trade war and scrutiny over the education partnerships, Huawei is still making its place in the market and is dominating the Chinese smartphone market.

According to Gizmochina, Huawei may very soon unveil its first ever car at the Shanghai Auto Show 2019. Reports say that the company’s first car is developed in tandem with Dongfeng Motors, a state-owned car manufacturing company in Wuhan, China.

The car is to feature in-vehicle communication, support 5G wireless network and various cloud functions which includes vehicle management, traffic scheduling and managing equipment.

Huawei and Dongfeng have reportedly signed approximately $446 million deal with local authorities in Xiangyang earlier in April to develop a smart car. Work on the logistics and the other features, the car will come intact with.

Huawei continues to push on with 5G development

During the signing ceremony for the Xiangyan deal, a model of a mini-bus was shown while no specific details have been provided about the first-ever Huawei car which could be revealed later this month.
