Around 1,200 liters of adulterated milk recovered from 16 milk shops was disposed of. Some pan shops including Monsoon pan shop, VIP pan shop, Bilal Utility Store and AS Traders were also sealed for selling banned chewing tobacco items such as guthka.
Furthermore, Sahalbandi food caterers was also sealed over poor cleanliness in washrooms and kitchen area, unavailability of medical insurance for employees and stinking food storages.
Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Ali Randhawa has ordered to reopen 35 sealed factories of the cottage industry.
The factories were reopened by the Municipal Officer Planning Abdul Salam Abbasi.
