Pepco has announced temporary relief for the masses by ending loadshedding across the country for today, barring Karachi which comes under KESC.

A Pepco spokesman claimed that demand of electricity matched supply being generated at 12,851 megawatts, which is why there were no power outages.

Hydel energy generation was 4,847 megawatts while thermal was 2,365 megawatts. Electricity produced by IPPs is 5,493 megawatts, while RPPs are producing 146 megawatts.

The spokesman said that around 330 megawatts of electricity is being supplied to KESC for today as well.

Pepco had earlier scheduled loadshedding of four hours for big cities and eight hours for small cities and rural areas.
