Woman ‘kidnapped, raped at gunpoint’ in capital
Earlier during the hearing on Monday, Sardar Abdul Razzaq Advocate told the court that Nawaz Maseeh, the accused who had four children from his marriage with Fauzia Bibi, wanted to tie the knot with his lover. However, Maseeh’s wife did not give permission for the second marriage.
On the night of June 8, 2018, the accused strangled the victim to death in her sleep and dumped the body in the underground water tank before fleeing the scene. They were later traced by the police.
The prosecutor prayed the court to hand them exemplary punishment for the heinous crime they committed. After concluding arguments a day earlier, the court eventually announced the verdict today.
