RAWALPINDI: Bahrain's Foreign Minister H E Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Khalifa acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan's contributions for conflict prevention in the region during a meeting with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, said a statement released by the military's media wing on Tuesday.
In a high-level moot at the General Headquarters (GHQ), General Bajwa and the visiting dignitary discussed matters of mutual interest including the regional security situation.

The two leaders pledged to continue working for improved bilateral ties between the two countries.
Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud also called on the COAS on Tuesday.
Mahmud acknowledged the sacrifices and achievements of the Pakistan Army in its fight against terrorism and efforts towards regional peace.
