Woman stabbed to death in Rawalpindi

Police yet to ascertain motive behind the crime

RAWALPINDI: A 40-year-old woman was stabbed to death in the Pirwadhai area of Rawalpindi on Saturday.

Victim’s father told the police that he had gone for Asr prayers and when he came back his daughter was lying in a pool of blood.

Police have registered a case and have yet to ascertain the motive behind the crime.

Separately, four women, including a married woman, were abducted from the remits of different police stations of the garrison city. Haroon Aziz filed told Civil Line police that his daughter was kidnapped by Adnan and others. Waheed Iqbal told Morgah police that his daughter was missing and claimed that she was kidnapped by Razzaq Maseeh.

Badar Mehmood told Sadiqabad police that his wife was kidnapped by Badar Mehmood who used to visit his house. Zafran Bibi was abducted by unknown people from Pirwadhai police remits.
