Our new generation is losing out on our culture and their capability of maintaining social relationships
KARACHI: The internet has made the world as we know it: a global village. Seeing the progress we have made with technology, it seems very likely that our next generation will achieve much more through the use of this technology.
However, this is just one side of the coin. On the flip side, the use of the internet is leading us towards moral corruption and degradation of social values. Our new generation is losing out on our culture and their capability of maintaining social relationships. In the good old days, people used to meet each other often and come up with occasions to arrange gatherings, but now all these activities have been lost. The internet provides knowledge but its negative use is causing more harm to the country’s youth. It is used by many for improving knowledge and for seeking work, but many illegal activities have also become easy due to easy access to communication all over the world. When shows and movies with violence and obscenity are easily available on the internet, it is very hard to keep track of the content our younger ones consume.
The inappropriate use of the internet keeps increasing by the day, and humanity keeps reaching its lowest point with the activities that are carried out on the Dark Web. That is why we must pay attention to the negative consequences of the internet, and its users must be informed about all the pros and cons related to its use.
