Teams of PFA recover 100,000 kilograms of substandard pickle and murabba

In an action against adulterated food items, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has sealed production units involved in the manufacturing of fake soft drinks and adulterated pickles.
The crackdown continued under the supervision of PFA Director General Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman. The teams of PFA recovered 100,000 kilograms of substandard pickle and murabba.

PFA inspection teams also recovered fake bottles being manufactured in Fayaz Bottle Production unit in Harbanspura.
Around 2,000 ready cola drinks, machinery, artificial flavour, colours and chemicals were also seized while 12,000 empty bottles, gas cylinder and other machines were taken into custody by the food watchdog teams.
