The famed writer also said that this drama is being written on the request of the director himself and Arts Council President Ahmed Shah. The funds collected from Naya Pakistan will be spent on the artistes from the past who do not appear on the screen anymore.

Maqsood shared that the story of Naya Pakistan revolves around country’s current situation. The protagonist is a pushcart vendor who roams the streets and sells old Pakistan into new Pakistan. We will see Allama Iqbal's character in it as well!
