13 NGOs get NOCs as security situation improves in K-P

The NGOs included 10 international and three local organisations.

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has given No-Objection-Certificate (NOC) to 10 international and three local Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) to work in the province.

The approval for foreign bodies to work in the province is a testament to improved security situation.

According to a press release of the Provincial Disastwer Management Authority (PDMA) as the law and order situation has improved, provincial government has issued thirteen NOCs to NGOs for working in humanitarian sector.

The NGOs included 10 international and three local organisations. These NGOs would render services in health, hygiene, food safety, nutrition and prevention in case of natural calamities.

They will work in districts of Bannu, Kohat, Tank, Hangu, Swat, Chitral and DI Khan.
