“The eye hospital in Kharan would continue working as people not only from Kharan but Washuk, Panjgoor, Chaghi, Noshki and even Iran come there for treatment. Providing healthcare facilities to the people is the prime objective of a government,” he said on Saturday
The lawmaker was speaking to a delegation led by surgeon Dr Aijaz Ahmed Nizamani from Al-Ibrahim Eye Hospital. He said it was the only eye hospital which was providing free-of-cost treatment to the patients and its closure would affect the entire province.
Baloch told Dr Nizamani that she has spoken to the concerned authorities and according to the agreement provision of all possible facilities and funding to the hospital would be ensured by 2020. “We want to provide healthcare facilities to the people at their doorstep as it is their basic right,” he added.
