PC strongly rebuts claims ex-Karachi chief has CIA links

Reports had surfaced that Jeff Susman's room was raided with several documents taken into custody

Five-star hotel chain Pearl Continental (PC) on Sunday issued a statement strongly refuting reports, carried by a section of local media, that its former general manager in Karachi Jeff Susman had any affiliation to the United States Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Reports had surfaced that Susman's room was raided by the authorities concerned with several documents also believed to have been taken into custody.

A spokesperson for the hotel chain said the media had been running "fake news" in a bid to defame the PC and the government agencies.
