LONDON: Pakistani tennis star Aisamul Haque Qureshi along with his Indian counterpart, Rohan Bopana, will have to wait until tomorrow to play their first match of the Wimbledon Championship in the gentlemen’s doubles against the Columbian pair Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah after rains forced match officials to postpone the match. .
The match was scheduled to start at 5:30pm PST (GMT +5). The duo had recently bagged their first ATP title of the season, beating Robin Haase and Milos Raonic in the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Germany.
Aisam and Bopana said their spirits are high as the Gerry Weber triumph boosted their confidence ahead of the Wimbledon clash and they are looking forward to playing well in the gentlemen’s doubles.
