Court extends remand of accused in LePark scam

LAHORE: An accountability court on Thursday extended physical remand of four accused persons including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hafiz Mian Nauman in Lahore Parking Company (LePark) corruption case. The accused persons were presented before a duty judge after completion of their judicial remand. During the hearing, the accused persons could not be indicted. The court ordered for their indictment on the next hearing. It ordered to send them on judicial remand for 14 days and present them again on April 11. The accused persons have been provided with the supplementary investigations and reference report during the last hearing. As far the case was concerned, the accused persons had been accused of awarding the contract to a company that had presented forged documents. NAB had also alleged that a company identified as AGCN had acquired the contract on a fake joint venture of Green Parking Company.
