Two found shot dead in Kharan

QUETTA: Two people, including a woman hailing from Nushki, were found shot dead in the Gwash area of Kharan district on Wednesday.

The victims were named as Shahnawaz and Arifa with the help of family members who came to identify the bodies after hearing about the incident.

According to levies sources, the bodies were dumped near Gowash area. The sources added that they received information about the bodies from local administration who spotted them in their area.

The levies shifted the corpses to a nearby hospital for legal formalities. Levies sources said it seemed that the attackers had pumped bullets into the victims’ head and chest from a very close range before dumping their bodies.

The reason for the murder could not be ascertained.

“We are still investigating the incident and at the moment we cannot say anything about the motive,” levies official said. The victims were the residents of Nushki, levies said.
