Infrastructure Development: 2,000 to benefit from schemes

The locals have appreciated the government’s efforts.

PESHAWAR: The district administration has paved 17 streets in Tauda Cheena, Lower Dir. The scheme was completed with an objective to improve the infrastructure and general sanitation of the village. According to a press release issued by Malakand Development Programme (MDP) the 17 targeted streets were in a very bad condition. The district administration constructed 1,115 metres long, plain concrete streets and built 208 metres of side drains system. A 92-metre-long wall has also been constructed. Other projects by the administration include provision of clean drinking water, rehabilitation of damaged education institutions, bridges and construction of link roads.The newly constructed street pavements will facilitate about 2,000 residents of the village, who have will have better access to school, basic health units and local markets.The locals have appreciated the government’s efforts.
