QUETTA: The Frontier Corps on Saturday organised a youth festival to celebrate the Pakistan Day at Zartaj Lal Stadium in Pishin.
Sector Commander FC North Brigadier Liaqat Ali, Member of National Assembly Molvi Kamaluddin, Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Syed Fazal Agha, Pishin Deputy Commissioner Aurangzaib Badeni, senior officials, tribal elders, students and other citizens were present on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, MPA Kamaluddin, said March 23 is in fact the day of deliverance.
“At this particular day in 1940, the Muslims of all India irrespective of their political, social differences united on the single platform for an independent Pakistan,” he said.
The MPA said we have to show the world that our youth is energetic and patriotic. For the protection of their country they would not behind even an inch from rendering sacrifices”.
The MPA also said the day also conveys the message of the protection of country. He added that people would continue supporting law enforcement agencies to ensure protection of the borders of country.
On the occasion, Sector Commandant Liyaqat Ali said “No power one has the power to undo Pakistan. Pakistan would remain till doomsday”.
He also said in order to ensure the respect of teachers, the vehicles of teachers would not be checked on any check post. Besides, award would be given to those aspirants of army that would pass the ISSB part of their test.
At the conclusion of ceremony, shields were presented to the guests and sportspersons by the chief guest and others.
MNA Kamaluddin said, “We have to show the world that our youth are talented and patriotic who would not hesitate to sacrifice anything for the progress of the country.”
Sector Commander North Brigadier Liaqat Ali said collective efforts were imperative for development of the country and “we need to be united against enemies of Pakistan”.
Earlier, a football match was played between two teams during the festival. MNA Kamaluddin and Brigadier Liaqat Ali distributed prizes among the winners.
