Alleged Assault: Madrassa teacher held for ‘beating students’

KARACHI: A madrassa teacher, accused of beating small students with a stick, was arrested on Tuesday. The Docks police said the teacher, Abul Hassan, allegedly struck the two students while teaching them at Madrassa al Munir in Macchar Colony. The students, Zakir,6, and his cousin Faisal, 7, suffered bruises. The police said that the FIR No. 145/11 under sections 342 (illegal detention), 337-A (beating) of the Pakistan Penal Code has been registered and the accused would also be produced in court on Wednesday (today).
