In K-P, ex-cops told to return vehicles

PESHAWAR: Following the directives of the K-P IGP Dr Naeem Khan the DIG Communications Dr Salman Chaudhry has recalled police department vehicles, which were being used by retired police officers and some serving officers too who had surplus vehicles or had given official ones to relatives. The IG directives were followed immediately and DIG special branch Karim Khan and DIG counter terrorism Ghafoor Khan Afridi were asked to rendered their surplus vehicles to the department while several other ex-police officers were also asked to return the police department vehicles. On the other hand some officers have shown resentment over the steps taken by the new IG.
