PSL fashion roundup: The looks that had us clean bowled
While everyone was busy keeping an eye on the ball, I only had eyes for the fashion that walked the field
KARACHI:
Pakistan Super League (PSL) truly brought the whole nation together. Everyone seemed to have cricket fever and spent hours and hours in front of the small screen. However, while everyone was busy keeping an eye on the ball, I only had eyes for the fashion that walked the field.
Obviously, majority of those on the pitch (aka players) were clad in team uniforms. But hosts Zainab Abbas and Erin Holland managed to turn up in noticeable attires. Here are some of my favourites from the past month:
The Hot Pink
During one of the matches in Dubai, Holland strutted out on the field donning a knee-length magenta pencil dress. Now, that's making a statement! The ensemble saw cape sleeves up to her elbow and she accessorised with a black Gucci belt and patent strappy heels - simple and elegant. Her lob was parted in the middle and her makeup entailed dewy skin, dark eyes and nude lips.
Golden Hour
Effortlessly graceful are the words that came to mind, right off the bat (pun intended). Glistening skin, ivory hues and wavy hair all gave off a rather flirty vibe. Clad in a Sapphire ensemble, the Australian singer stunned during her appearance at the National Stadium in Karachi. The structured earrings were just the right finishing touch.
Illusions
Abbas also impressed with her sartorial choices during the month-long tournament. She looked gorgeous wearing this black illusion dress featuring white and nude panels. The body-con fit looked ever-so-flattering on her toned bod while the colour blocks added character. Her hair was tousled while her makeup entailed red lips and winged liner.
Blazin'
Wearing this mustard pant suit was quite a bold move from Abbas. Not everyone can pull it off but it seemed like a walk in the park for her. Abbas teamed it with a white satin slip featuring lace detailing. Small gold earrings complemented her garb while dust pink lips, feathered brows and blow-dried hair completed the look.
