The incident took place in City police station limits. Reportedly, police officials received information about gunshots being fired at Ejaz Ali’s house on Saturday morning.
When police officials rushed to the scene, they found the bodies of Ejaz, his 32-year-old wife Rubina and their children identified as five-year-old Abu Bakr, four-year-old Tehreem and three-year-old Murtazeen.
The deceased were shifted to a hospital for an autopsy. Police said that initial investigations, as well as the information gathered from residents living in the area, suggest that Ejaz had shot and killed his family over a domestic dispute before committing suicide.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and sought a report from the Faisalabad regional police officer. He stated that the victims’ family will be provided justice.
